“Zion National Park is a stupendous natural wonder. Because it is in a deep canyon it is not easy to paint within the close quarters. This painting is a view looking at the park entrance from the Virgin River farming valley nearby. With the Southwest sun behind you in the winter the great walls of Zion seem to trap light and glow from within. The foliage in the foreground is a harmonizing counterpoint to the warm red Cliffs beyond.” Andrew Peters
