“This charming little creek setting in late summer, had an interesting play of light and shadow when I came upon it one late afternoon. My first impulse was to paint into this scene, a great blue heron. However as I was finalizing the idea in my mind, I thought perhaps a white egret might be a better choice for me to play with, in this kind of soft, lovely light. And so it was. Egrets have become more common in our parts during the summer months, as they casually drift across from south of the border, in more noticeable numbers.” Claudio D’Angelo
