“An artist friend told me about “Orange County’s Grand Canyon” a few years back and I couldn’t believe that I had never heard of it, even though it was very close to my home. Talk about a well-kept secret! The trailhead was behind a grocery store and the start of the path took you past housing developments and warning signs for mountain lions. It was a narrow trail and somewhat lackluster until it opened up at the end. Fortunately, I got there just as the sun was throwing a nice diagonal shadow across the rock face. As Grand Canyons go, I guess this one was pretty tame, this being pretty much the only formation. But it was a grand scene at any rate.” Craig Pursley
