“Fox around here usually tend to be shy and secretive. But once in a while, you’ll see one saunter out in the open in broad daylight and walk right by you, like you weren’t even there! In this very field, I’ve seen fox act in this apparent nonchalant way in the presence of geese and in this case, crows. In my painting, the proximity has unnerved the crows and they’ve decided to put a little more distance between them. The fox knows better than to rush the birds, however if one of them failed to respond appropriately, the fox would instantly focus great interest on that bird.” Claudio D’Angelo
