“This new Marsh Series piece brings back memories of many glorious hours spent wading through ponds and tule patches in the California central valley, setting out decoys and waiting in duck blinds for birds on the wing with my best bud Sonny. The Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area was established in 1994 as a means of restoring a small part of the 80,000-acre historic wetlands region given over to cattle grazing and farming practices. Where once wildlife, along with herds of tule elk roamed its marshes. Massive flocks of waterfowl darkened the skies on their yearly migrations.” Daniel Mundy
