Jan Gordon Fisher biography

Born in 1938 in Westwood, California, he attended Brigham Young University on an art scholarship where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.  He continued his education at Mills College in Oakland, California where he studied with the famous master, Antonio Prieto.

He was an art professor at Brigham University’s Hawaii campus for 21 years.

Jan Gordon Fisher has been commissioned to create many of the famous and well known monumental bronze sculptures in resorts and parks across the Hawaiian Islands, including the famed sculpture of Duke Kahanamoku, Waikiki.  His bronzes have won many awards.

He has been a member of the National Sculpture Society since 1991.
