Laurie Lee biography

Laurie Lee’s artistic journey began at a young age, nurtured by an artistic mother who provided a rich foundation for her to explore her creative passions. Growing up in the heart of the West, Laurie’s connection to the land and its traditions shaped her unique perspective as an artist. She often draws inspiration from her firsthand experiences with local cattle drives, brandings, and the everyday life of the Western landscape, infusing her work with authenticity and depth.

Her subjects reflect a deep love for Western themes, capturing the spirit of the region through both watercolor and other mediums. Laurie’s artwork has garnered recognition in leading publications such as Western Horseman, Art Talk, Equine Images, Inform Art, and Art of the West. Her pieces have been featured in a variety of prestigious national art shows, including the National Watercolor Society’s Art Exhibition in Los Angeles, the Charlie Russell Art Museum’s Western Art Auction, and the Montana Watercolor Society’s show in Butte. Additionally, she has showcased her work in renowned exhibitions like the Mountain Oyster Club Art Show, the Western Vision Show, the Cow Girl Up Show in Wickenburg, the Buffalo Bill Art Show in Cody, and the Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show.

Through her work, Laurie Lee continues to celebrate the Western way of life, sharing its stories with a broad audience and cementing her place in the rich tradition of Western art.
