A rare Winston Churchill painting went up for auction at Sotheby’s in London on March 20, 2018 and sold for $67,609.60. The selling price blew past the pre-auction estimates of $8,430 – $11,240. Mr. Churchill traveled North America in 1929, prior to becoming Britain’s Prime Minister. This painting was created during the trip and depicts  Lake Emerald in British Columbia.
