“This painting shows a recurring theme in my work concerning the relationship between humans and nature, and particularly how kids apprehend animal and plants in an intuitive way. The nymph refers to Greek mythology, a way I often use when I want to create an allegory. I discovered Greek mythology when I was a child, and have always been in wonder with the richness of the interactions between animals and humans as ancient Greeks explained the world. “Nymphe endormie” means “Sleeping nymph”.   Marina Dieul
