“Often dry, the Canada del Oro wash at the base of the Catalina Mountains outside of Tucson, is running full after an evening and night time, summer monsoon.  The rising sun creates an array of colorful, receding storm clouds and casts reflections across the main channel and smaller, spider web of meandering water rivulets. Illuminated by the sunrise are edges of rocky cliffs and the many, tall sentinels of saguaros dotting the foothills.  Oh, the desert smells so fragrant after a soaking rain!”   Darcie Peet
