Alvin Marshall On The Wings Of Butterflies Native American Indian woman dance headdress western Utah gold alabaster sculpture

“The sculpture is gold alabaster from a quarry in Utah. The woman I sculpted is a butterfly dancer from the Hopi reservation. It’s a yearly dance that they do for fertility. The title of this piece is “On Wings Of Butterflies”. It depicts the woman traveling in the heavens with all the butterflies surrounding her.”   Alvin Marshall
