The 2019 Coeur d’Alene Art Auction was held July 27 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This annual event hosted an overflowing crowd of approximately 650 bidders who packed the auction room for what the auction house considers as the “single largest event in the field of classic Western and American Art.” Auction records were set for Victor Higgins, Rosa Bonheur, Howard Terpning, Theodore Van Soelen, Carl Rungius, and Dan Oelze. Total sales, which include the buyer’s premium, exceeded the $16.8 million mark with over 90% of all lots selling. To view the entire auction and to find out more results, visit the Coeur d’Alene Art Auction website.
