April 6, 2019 marked the 15th Anniversary of the The Scottsdale Art Auction. This annual event brought in collectors from around the country. Known for quality western, wildlife and sporting art, the Scottsdale Art Auction offered 346 paintings and sculpture. Final results included 94% of all lots offered sold and a grand total of $13.2 million in sales. This sales total surpasses last year’s total by more than $2 million. According the the auction house, records were set on multiple artworks including Melvin Warren’s painting “Remnants Of The Herd” realizing $497,250, Henry Shrady’s sculpture “Elk Buffalo” selling for $380,250 and Logan Maxwell Hagege’s oil “Breaking Through The Storm” reaching $234,000.
