A commission is a most personal and intimate project that brings memories to life for a client, and a painting created uniquely for you. Coordinated through ArtzLine.com, I am significantly involved in the development process, teaming with the client to determine the setting, composition, size and overall creative direction of the piece. Personal meetings, phone calls, teleconferencing, sketches and photos… even travel to a ranch, home, office, hotel or garden and touring a property with family to zero in on “that sense of place” are all techniques that have been used to develop and approve a plan. On the other hand, commissions have been as simple as spotting a favorite painting of mine and having a similar one created or to tailor size and proportion to fit a different space. Ultimately the goal is to mold those landscape elements and mood to create intimate and forever memories for the client.”   Darcie Peet
